Natures Path Tipi & Yurt Holidays, Norfolk- Moved to new secluded area on site

This site offers 3 yurts and one tipi in Yaxham Waters, a newly completed holiday park which is set in 10 acres of parkland. As the pictures on the web site show, the yurts and tipis are beautifully decorated, each with a double bed and futons. You also have a kitchen area, with gas stove and crockery, etc. as well as the option of cooking in the great outdoors. The park also boasts a coarse fishing lake and farm shop. They are happy for you to bring your well behaved dog to stay too, for just £20.

Old Chapel Farm is a small organic farm in the mid-Wales hills, home to a small community. You can enjoy a holiday in complete seclusion, or become involved in the busy life of their community with volunteers from all over the world. The traditional Mongolian yurt sleeps 5 and is situated with a stunning view over three uninhabited valleys. There is a small retreat yurt, suitable for one or a parent and child. Cooking/dining is in the unique and beautifully converted bus structure. There is a solar and wood powered shower, or you can bath under the stars in their 17th century house. If this wasn't enough, they keep Jersey cows (hand milked), from which they make their own cheese, and they also have sheep, hens, ducks and geese!

Trelay has two beautiful Mongolian yurts available for you to enjoy a relaxing break in stunning North Cornwall, close to Boscastle, Tintagel & Bude. You can choose from views of the valley or a secluded spot close to woodland. Both Mongolian yurts are traditionally decorated, and include all the essentials for your stay. This is a perfect getaway from modern day life; enjoy candles, lanterns and a solar shower! They also accept dogs.

Nicky and Andy welcome you to their small working farm in North Devon, on the edge of Exmoor. They have one 19ft yurt available though, if you're a larger group, some could pitch tents on site too. From the pictures online you can see some of beautiful views around the farm. Shower and toilet facilities on site. This is an ideal location to explore Exmoor but, as you're so close to the coast, why not go surfing one day? Tasty food can be found at a pub just half a mile away. If you're keen to find out more just send Nicky a message and she'll be able to answer all your questions.

Ummm...the Barn Owl in the Goose Paddock, or the Woodpecker in the Meadow? Both are gorgeous yurts set in Ivy Grange Farm in Waveney Valley (just 7 miles inland from Southwold). There are real beds with comfy mattresses as well as, well, practically everything else you could need or want during you stay. Their website is brilliantly informative, and will certainly get you in the mood for your stay. As well as details about the yurts it also gives lots of information about things to do in the area. Why not take advantage of the fruit and veg field on site and dig up something to cook on the "safari" kitchen outside your yurt? And don't forget to try out the double outdoor heated shower in the woodland! If you want to see how all of this came about then read up on their blog!

Nestling in the picturesque countryside of the Derbyshire Dales, looking west over panoramic views including Thorpe Cloud and Dovedale, Riddings Park Farm is the perfect centre for you to base your holiday. They have four yurts, three 16' and one 20', all situated in a beautiful orchard. All bedding is included, so you only have to bring towels, and the pot-belly stove will keep you snug...you just have to decide who will be in charge of cooking on it! What makes this location even more special is the rare breeds centre on the site, which is home to many of Britain's rare and endangered breeds of farm animals...a perfect opportunity to learn more about the traditional farming way of life, as well as sampling some of the delicious meat they produce.

Their website is so informative...where to begin? They have five yurts in total, each sleeping up to four people, hidden away in a wildflower meadow with ancient native trees and hedging. The yurts are simply, but beautifully, decorated and you are sure of a good sleep on the extra thick mattresses! Their website will tell you more about all of the facilities, so do have a good look. Kay, who has taught organic edible gardening at a local college for 7 years, will also be running courses at the site so you are sure to take some excellent tips home with you. The beautiful photographs on the site say it all.

Larkhill Tipis is a 20 acre eco-friendly smallholding located in beautiful quiet countryside, near Cardigan Bay, with fantastic views over the Teifi Valley. They have a ger, yurt, alachigh, tipi and lavvu (visit their site for explanations!), all of which have comfortable beds and furnishings. You will have either a woodburning stove or chimnea, depending on which structure you choose. There is a very well equipped communal log cabin, a children's play area, hot showers and toilets. The site is solely powered by alternative energy, which has been developed over the last twenty years. Expect to see duck, chickens and turkeys roaming around on your stay too! Now, all you have to decide is which structure to stay in...?

Information to follow, so please go directly to their site to find out more in the meantime.

There is just the one 5 person yurt (this year) situated on their 130 acre farm in Llangain, 6 miles from Carmarthen and just 4 miles from the stunning seaside town of Llansteffan. Stroll around the farm walk and see the ponds that provide a haven for the wildlife. Tent pitches are allowed if your group is larger than 5. Sit around the campfire, watch the stars and enjoy a rare opportunity to have a holiday with no other guests around.

Mark and Emma look forward to welcoming you to their family farm, where you can settle, oh so easily, into the West Country way of life. The yurts are nestled in a south facing field, overlooking the beautiful Blackdown Hills, and you can enjoy the view on your very own private deck. Each yurt has a double bed and a wood burner to keep you cosy. Just get in touch to find out a little more, and get a good feel for the place by reading their blog.

David and his family are ready to welcome you to their farm. You have the choice of a yurt or tipi, both made in Cornwall. There are beds in the yurt and 'swags' in the tipi, and both has an inside area for cooking-though you are sure to want to cook on the barbeque outside if the weather allows. It will be hard to resist a dip in the hot tub during your stay!

Hidden Valley Yurts in the Wye Valley - A sixth yurt added in 2011

You have the choice of 6 yurts located in a field surrounded by wild flowers and woodland. 3 come with King sizes beds and all 6 include stoves, throws, cushions and rugs. There is choice when it comes to bathroom arrangements too, especially with the newly made bathroom/kitchen block. 'Yurt No. 6', which has been added this year, has its own tented field kitchen! Why not enjoy a game of boules while dinner is cooking in the pizza oven!

Excellent selection of pictures on the site to entice you!

This beautiful location, in the heart of Hampshire, is the perfect getaway for you and the family. Each yurt is large enough for up to six people, and duvets, bedding and blankets are supplied. You also have the luxury of the 'Yurtery', where you will find a fully fitted kitchen and large wet rooms with piping hot showers. Don't panic if this sounds too luxurious as you still have your very own fire pit and barbeque if you want the outdoors experience. If you don't have space for food shopping in the car, as well as all the luggage, then why not do an online shopping order with one of the larger supermarkets and have it delivered direct to Meon Springs? Perfect! Well behaved dogs are welcome too.

Yalding Gardens is a hidden gem in the Kent countryside. There are two yurts, which can sleep up to six people each (4 in 'proper' beds and 2 on futon mattresses on the floor). They offer a selection of holiday packages to suit all celebrations too, including a romantic break...flowers, wine and chocolates on arrival, of course! You can wonder through the eight beautiful organic gardens, pop into a nearby cafe for a hearty breakfast or find supplies in the farm shop...or simply sit and relax outside your locally made yurt.

Monica and Steph look forward to welcoming you to the secluded Haven Meadows, which is hidden away on a small-scale conservation farm close to Totnes. You can choose from a 12ft, 16ft or 20ft yurt, with the smallest size perfectly suited to honeymooners! It is all about the pampering here; cosy futon beds and duvets, woodburning stoves and, yes, a hot tub! A kitchen, hot showers, compost toilets and BBQ facilities are on site, and food can be purchased from the farm itself too. The website has a fantastic page showing all the things you can do in the area.

These three authentic Mongolian yurts are located in an organic farm in the West Highlands. Step out of your yurt in the morning and take in the truly spectacular views (the foot of Ben Neevis being one of them!). The yurts are "off grid" (without electricity), so there are no modern distractions, giving you the chance to really unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Otter, Wildcat and Eagle (the yurts) are cosily and beautifully furnished, with proper double beds, and all the camping essentials are provided. Lots of images to entice you, and do check out their Facebook page.

A small, environmentally friendly site with an eclectic array of accommodation set in a wildlife garden in the heart of the countryside, yet easily accessed from the A12. They, of course, have a beautifully furnished 16’ yurt (with a second yurt being made ready for the season) but can also offer a tipi, a gypsy caravan and a period holiday cottage – plus some ordinary tent pitches. The site has solar showers and a fire area. During the day pick from the selection of bicycles they offer, free to use during your stay...details of cycle routes in the area, hi-viz jackets and helmets are also included! Alde Garden has also won a Silver Award this year from the Suffolk Carbon Charter-it recognises carbon reduction measures in Suffolk's small businesses.

Jan and Caroline invite you to stay with them at Holyford, a family run smallholding in the beautiful Devon countryside. They have one yurt which sleeps five, but extra tent space can be made available for older children. If you want a bit of time to relax, why not let the children make pizza with Jan and Caroline using the earth oven-which is also yours to cook in for the duration of your stay! Jan and Caroline offer a range of activities for the whole family so if you don't fancy pizza making why not try honing your bushcraft skills. The facilities have been designed to be as eco-friendly as is possible, with the hot water, for showering and washing up, being either solar heated or wood fired...depending on the weather. Enjoy afternoon tea on the veranda outside your yurt, with homemade scones, jam and local cream...delicious!

You can choose from two traditionally painted yurts, one at 18' (sleeping four) and the other at 22' (sleeping six), both of which are available all year round. Each yurt is located on an elevated position in the woodland giving not only a high degree of freedom but also wonderful views of the surrounding area. They have double beds, as well as single futons & airbeds (depending on the size chosen), and are beautifully decorated. There is no worry of being chilly in the colder months either as the yurts are well insulated and can be warmed to perfection with the wood burning stove...snuggling up in a yurt sounds like a perfect romantic winter retreat. Looking at the testimonials, the stream fed, hot shower is a treat to be remembered! The website has lots of information and beautiful images-definitely worth a look!

A beautifully decorated yurt, fantastic kitchen and bathroom facilities and a picturesque setting...what more do you need? The 16' foot yurt is large enough to accommodate four adults, with a double futon and two fold out seats. You do need to bring your own bedding, with the exception of pillows (and pillowcases), but those little bits and pieces like washing up liquid and T-towels are all provided. You do not even have to worry about getting food in for breakfast on the first day as all the ingredients for a full English await you in the outside kitchen...tea and coffee included! There is plenty to see and do in Herefordshire but, if you don't want to go off exploring, you can always stay put and enjoy a game on the neighbouring tennis court.

This new wildlife and yurt holiday site gives you the chance to relax with nature, explore the surrounding and take part in various activities, such as building a clay oven! There is one yurt and one tepee at the moment, but if you're part of a large group there is space for tents on the fields surrounding the farm...it will just be a battle to see who gets the beautiful yurt. They have bathroom and kitchen facilities, lock up storage for bikes and your pets are very welcome too. The lovely artwork and photographs on the website are very enticing indeed.

As the name suggests, this yurt offers you a little bit of luxury-comfy bed with hotel white linen and fluffy towels...even a television! There is only room for two, so it would make for a perfect romantic getaway. Situated in the top field of their little farm, this yurt only has one 'neighbour' (the Shepherds Hut), which is still some distance away. Bathroom facilities are just a short stroll down a solar lit path, and a complete camping kitchen is provided in the yurt. Of course, if the weather allows, why not cook on the BBQ outside! If you are a fan of River Cottage, then its HQ are just a short drive from the yurt...why not book yourselves in for a cookery lesson during your stay?

Okay, so this site doesn't have a yurt but it does have an equally beautiful tent (made by renowned yurt makers, Albion Canvas). The tent is nestled in a woodland, which will be yours for the duration of your stay (no neighbours), and is surrounded by farmland. The tent has two bedrooms, a kitchen and sitting area...not to mention the large wooden deck. Cook indoors with a wood-fired oven or enjoy a barbeque in the sunshine. Although this is indeed camping in comfort, with only the sun and wood to 'power' your stay, you are truly able to enjoy the untarnished surroundings. Why not build a den in the wood..or even cut your own firewood for the evening-one thing is for sure, the stress of everyday live will be left behind with a visit to Matt and Amanda's tent!

Jane promises you a stay that is close to nature, in a secluded position on her 12 acre smallholding, but that is as luxurious as the 4 star accommodation she offers in her home! If you want to be pampered in the mornings you can even enjoy a cooked Suffolk breakfast, either in the Yurt or on the picnic area outside. There is a real double bed and bedside tables in the yurt, as well as a woodburning stove to keep you warm. Get yourself some sausages from the Farm itself and enjoy a barbeque in a beautiful surroundings. Only open July and August.

You can choose from Brickles Yurts, situated on the edge of the 60 acre Brickles wood or Withybed Yurts positioned near to the Deer Park. Both sites have two yurts (each with a double bed and two singles) and a kitchen/living yurt, but while Brickles offers fantastic views and woodland, Withybed gives you a great chance to see Roe deer in their natural environment. You can enjoy seasonal vegetables from their own gardens as well as venison from the estate! A helpful list of provisions is also included on their site.

A village of five yurts, one of which is a communal area with sofas, board games and a large flatscreen television! Mawgan Porth offers yurts which have been given an interior designed luxurious finish, with Egyptian Cotton linen on the double bed. You then have exclusive use of a traditionally built clay oven, as well as an outdoor tub, heated by a log burner. More information and pictures can be found on the site. Perfect if you want to enjoy a very special romantic treat, with all the mod-cons.

Although you will not find a lot of details on the web site., the homepage says it all. You can see from the images that this is a lovely setting for a yurt holiday. I highly recommend looking at their facebook page as it provides some more images and gives a feel for who will be 'looking after' you during your stay-you can see there are some great comments already!

Perfect for a romantic retreat, where you can both unwind in the three acres of grassland the yurts sit in. The site is close enough to York that, if you want to sightsee, you can but is tucked away so complete escape is possible. Escape though you might, you can do so knowing that a cosy bed, a double ended roll-top bath and even your own cook will be there...just bring the drinks! They can provide breakfast in bed, lazy lunches and a candlelit dinner for two. Now that's worth a look!
